So, this weekend I will be at the MALL all weekend!
No, really!
I will be at the Artful Hands Art & Craft show at the HILLDALE MALL in Madison, Wisconsin on Saturday and Sunday. We will be set up during the regular mall hours. (Saturday 10am-9pm, Sunday 11am-6pm)
Come check it out if you are in the Madison area! I will have the usual - lots of yarns, some shawls, wristwarmers, and some new scarves, too!
I'm a librarian, spinner, knitter! This is my blog for crafty things, updates to my shop and more.

Cedarburg Fall Wine/Harvest Festival this weekend!
This weekend I will be at the Fall Wine/Harvest Festival in Cedarburg, Wisconsin! I do have a few new pairs of wristwarmers, and shawls in every color of yarn I have available! I didn't get nearly as many done as I wanted to, but something is better than nothing, and I will be able to take orders for them as well.
I also have an amazing new color of bamboo. I may have a picture posted on my flickr later today, but it is basically a very dark version of "Spring Forest" and I am calling it "Holly Berry Trail". Very deep burgundy and a darker green and silver. I loved it so much, I spun 4 skeins last night!
I'll also have one new art yarn and 6 or 7 new scarves!
Please come by if you are in the area - it is a large festival and lots of fun! You can get more information by CLICKING HERE.
Hours for the festival are 10am-6pm on Saturday, September 20 and 10am-5pm on Sunday, September 21.
My booth is #195, near the corner of Turner and Washington. I am actually on the opposite corner from Turner Street.
Now, it's back to work for me as I've still got some things to finish up!

Lots of new yarns . . .
So, the Wisconsin Sheep & Wool Festival was an *okay* show for me. I actually made about twice as much in July at the Midwest Fiber & Folk Art Fair, but at least I covered my costs and made a little extra. I also was able to meet some etsians, ravelers, and just in general some fun fiber people! :)
But, since the show wasn't quite as I had hoped - I do have lots of new yarns listed at kittygrrlz.com and on etsy. Below are just a few of the highlights - check out my site or etsy shop for more!
New art yarns -
PlumBerryCrush -
Plum Sunshine Divine -
Hibiscus - (this is an older one but had been reserved but is now available) -
Squish-tastic! - Peacock Sands -
I also have lots of new bamboo yarns - in colors Chocolate Berry Shine, New Southwest, Southwest Sky, Springtime in Paris, Stormy Night, and Aqua Lime.
I am working furiously this week to finish a large custom order, then will be working on some art yarns, more bamboo, and knitting lots of shawls and wristwarmers for my next show which is the Cedarburg Wine/Harvest Festival September 20-21. This means I probably won't be posting much as I prepare!

Wisconsin Sheep & Wool Festival
I have been very bad in not updating here much lately, but I've been busy and distracted with things, so I apologize. Hopefully things will get back to normal next week and i can once again post regularly.
One of the main reasons I haven't had time to post is that I am getting ready for the WISCONSIN SHEEP & WOOL FESTIVAL which is THIS weekend, actually, it starts TOMORROW! It runs Friday, September 5 through Sunday, September 7. I will be there vending in the Country Store area. I've been busy spinning and have new art yarns, lots of Kitty Singles single plys, and 14 new skeins of bamboo. I may have some pictures to share later, but for now - have to get to work.
If you are near Jefferson, Wisconsin and love wool and fiber - come check out the Festival! CLICK HERE for all the important information!
