A couple new yarns . . .

So, here are the new yarns that I listed yesterday -

Spring Garden bamboo

I have two skeins available - on etsy here and here!

Then, I have "Ocean Splash" - a new CoilySpun yarn - in merino wool so it is very soft & squooshy! I have more of this color of fiber so will either be doing more coils, or maybe an art yarn to coordinate with the coils -

Last night I spun up two "Kitty Singles" and they should be listed later today. Tonight, it may be more singles or possibly back to the bamboo. I have two art yarns "in the works" but may hold off on those until the end of the week. We'll see. I've been feeling sort of "random" this week, so have just been pulling fiber out on a whim and spinning it. I'm also hoping to get another CoilySpun yarn done soon, too.

New yarns!

So, once again, no post on Monday. One of these weeks I'll post every day, really!

But, I don't have much to say/show today, but I do want to post my latest yarns . . .

Okay, on to the yarns. First, here is some bamboo that I spun up on Saturday night. Very thinly spun! It isn't quite on etsy or my website yet, but should be later today, along with another skein of handspun bamboo that I spun up yesterday. This one is called "Marmalade Sky" and is spun from fiber dyed by the FiberLady.
Then, there are the CoilySpun skeins I spun on Saturday, too. They were spun from hand dyed domestic wool dyed by the Yarn Wench. They have both been listed on etsy (click on the picture to go to the listing) and kittygrrlz.com.



And, finally, here is what I spun on Sunday - more Andromeda! Andromeda has been a very popular colorway hand dyed by Lynn (aka the Yarn Wench). Each batch is slightly different and I've already spun up several of them. This time, I wanted to spin a thin single of merino/silk, a thick single of merino, and ply them together (similar to what I had done with the "Pucci" colorways). But, I didn't have any of the merino/silk Andromeda! So, thanks to Naomi, who was willing to do some swapping, I got the fiber I needed as she sent me her batch of the merino/silk. There is one large skein of the bulky two-ply (110 yards, 4.6 oz) and then a lot of 2 mini-skeins, including 50 yards of Navajo 3-ply spun from just the merino/silk blend.

Last night, I spun up some more bamboo and then some "Batt-tacular" yarns! Two single ply skeins and 1 bulky plied-with-thread skein, all spun from batts from TerraBellaSpun. They should be listed on my website tonight and a couple of them will probably be on etsy, too. Then, tonight, I have two more batts I hope to spin and then it will probably be back to the art yarns.

But, for now, I must get to work!

They got rid of the right person on American Idol! Yay!

Eye Candy Hand Spun Art Yarn - 84 yard skein is now listed on etsy and will be on my website shortly.
I also have a treasury on etsy! It will only last until about 3am on Saturday, but you can check it out HERE. It was inspired by the bunny posting yesterday AND the fact that I've had the "Bunnies, it must be bunnies" line from the Buffy Once More With Feeling episode running through my head all week. I may change it up today or tomorrow.

And, here is a sneak peek at the yarn I spun last night. Again, nighttime pictures are difficult because I really need better lighting. But, for now, here are the "Deep Sleep" Hand Spun Art Yarn skeins. They are 108 and 114 yards and one is plied with blue thread and the other green. Here are the novelty/specialty yarns that were spun in:

A few things this morning . . .

First, here are the new yarns that I listed yesterday! Click on the pictures to take you to the etsy listing, or you can check them out at KittyGrrlz.Com

Inconsistent Spring Hand Spun Single Ply Yarn - this one was spun from nice and soft Falkland wool hand dyed by the Yarn Wench, color called "Bower". It ended up a little less consistent than I like, even for a thick/thin single, so it varies between DK and Worsted weight. 150 yards.

Pretty Purple Pansies - spun from a pretty batt from TerraBellaSpun - this one has merino, superwash, wool, bamboo, gold sparkle, and white glitz and then is plied with light purple thread. 78 bulky yards.

And, then there is Woodland Royalty - an earthy skein in browns with gorgeous deep purple and plied with dark purple thread. This one is spun from another TerraBellaSpun batt made up of wool, mohair, bamboo, sparkle, and Tussah Silk. 66 bulky yards.
Second . . . I was on the front page earlier this week, overnight, with my Plum Grove revisited yarn. And, then, I was on AGAIN last night with the same yarn, but this time it sold!! I was so excited since this is the first time that has happened! Woohoo! Here is a screenshot of the treasury (and i'm sorry i couldn't get the entire thing - i don't have a big monitor!) Thank you to crafthabit for creating such a beautiful treasury and for including me in it!

Also, for anyone who may be interested in the Plum Grove yarn but missed out on it - I do have 4 more oz of fiber that could be spun into a similar yarn. I am running out of some of the yarns I spin into it, but could spin two more skeins in this color combination. Just email me or convo me on etsy for details!

Finally, no Lego Star Wars last night as I was a little slow in getting my "work" done - but, I will have two skeins of a pretty shades-of-green-and-yellow-and-gold posted later today - here is a sneak peek:

It's midnight and I'm not sleeping . . .

because my cell phone was beeping because some $%:#@:#: decided it would be fun to send me some smutty text message! i have no idea who sent it and am kinda creeped out, honestly.

so, the beeping woke me up . . . and it is really hot in our apartment even with the air conditioner, so i got up . .

and checked in on etsy to see if the treasury was working . . . and I got one!! I filled it with all the wonderful things in my favorites that I want to buy but just can't buy them all . . . check it out and see some wonderfully cool yarn and fibers and more!
